Meeting with Tsesler

While the whole world vegetated on lockdown and ordinary people occupied themselves with cleaning and watching Netflix, the artists had more free time from household chores and they enthusiastically created masterpieces. The first art event after the quarantine bans was held in Limassol. Vladimir Tsesler came out to share fresh “quarantine” works with fans of contemporary art, as well as talk about what happened over the year.

The pandemic divided the life of our hero, Vladimir Tsesler, into before and after. This is due not only to the coronavirus, but also to the situation in his home country – Belarus. After spending six months in quarantine, the kind and lovely Belarusians received in addition – a war with their own government. And, as is customary in the countries of the former USSR, without infringement of human rights, brutal bloodshed in the streets – it was not done. The hand of fate shared the artist with his family, brought him to Cyprus, where he continues to create immortal masterpieces.

Creations

The works of Vladimir Tsesler are a combination of styles, techniques and various contemporary art trends. Sometimes you ask yourself the question – what is it? moulage? sculpture? ready-made? assemblage? installation? Object, as a plastic formula of the idea, is used further by the artist in poster or video art. It becomes a poster, sculpture, painting, advirtisment, article of industrial design, part of staged photo, art action or interior.

Making i.e. materialization of every object-Gestalt is the most important part of his work. Materials and their expressive and plastic qualities, colour, texture and techniques determine the art structure of the works.

The creative evening with Tsesler turned out to be an amazing experience not only for his fans, who gathered quite a lot, but also for the simply creative people of Limassol. There were artists who made sketches of those present, musicians, a DJ, as well as guys who made an amazing performance in support of Belarus.
