Extremely Girls Exhibition

Ladies First is a manifest of women’s art.  HauteArt is proudly presents you high quality intellectual hen-party! The exhibition challenges the historical conventions of how women have been portrayed in art and how they have been represented as artists themselves. By featuring the work of these three contemporary female artists, the exhibition explores whether gender still plays a significant role in the perception and value of art.The exhibition critically engages with the notion that women in art have historically been seen more as subjects than creators, often depicted in ways that emphasize their bodies rather than their intellects or artistic talents. By juxtaposing this outdated narrative with the current achievements of women artists like Masha Bo, Halina Lazarchyk, and Irina Sigitova, the exhibition questions whether gender biases in the art world have truly been dismantled.

Does a woman have to be nude and painted to get into a museum? Or women are also artists and now their work is bought much more than traditional “male” art? Does the definition of gender in art means so much? The works of Masha Bo, Halina Lazarchyk, and Irina Sigitova not only reflect their unique artistic voices but also symbolize a broader shift in the art world towards greater recognition of female artists. Their art, rich with personal and universal themes, defies the traditional boundaries of “male” and “female” art. These artists are not confined by gendered expectations but instead use their work to explore and expand the definitions of identity, emotion, and societal roles.
